What is a Community Garden?

It is a shared piece of land where people rent garden plots and grow

vegetables, fruits and herbs of their choice.

Why Participate in a Community Garden?

You would:

Learn to grow your own fresh organic vegetable, fruits and herbs

Save money on your grocery bill

Get fresh air and exercise

Meet new people in your neighbourhood

Have fun!

Who qualifies for a plot?

Anyone who needs a place to garden

How much does it cost?

Plots are rented on a geared-to-income basis, which allows them to be

affordable to all.  Per season price ranges from $15 to $40 for a

400-square feet plot.
