Pillar Community Innovation Awards 2008:
Community Collaboration Category
The London Community Resource Centre's Community
Gardens Program was honoured with a Pillar Community
Innovation Award in the Community
Collaboration Category.
The annual awards celebrate the ways in which innovation,
leadership and collaboration in the nonprofit sector have
made our community better.
Organizers said 260 people attended the annual awards
gala in November of 2008 to honour the people and
organizations that make a difference in London.
Linda Davies, the LCRC's Executive
Director, recieved, on behalf of the
organization, a certificate of appreciation
from the London Homeless
Coalition.
From 2001 to 2007, the LCRC was the
host organization for the London
Homeless Coalition.

Essence of Persistence Award
recongnizing the organization's
unwavering commitment to the delivery
of and the collaboration on its
community-based projects and
