The LCRC is one of four founding members of FoodNet Ontario, a province-wide

network of organizations and individuals committed to achieving community food

securtiy and creating sustainable local food systems.

The goal of FoodNet Ontario is to increase the capacity of organizations and

communities across the province in the creation of sustainable local food systems and

achieve community food securtiy by:

* bringing people ideas and resources together;

* facilitating communication and collaboration among organizations;

* educating the public and key decision makers about community food security;

and

* promoting best practises
