1st Annual Green Thumb Shutterbug Community Photo Contest
Get out those cameras and capture those images that depict what you see when you see a garden.
Enter your garden photos in four categories:
Down and Dirty – Images of people working in their gardens
The Wild Side – Images of nature, animals, insects, natural beauty in and around the garden
Camaraderie – Friends and family enjoying their garden plots
Bountiful Harvest – How green is your garden? What does your garden grow? Show us the pride
and joy that is your wonderful garden.
In addition to your submitted photos, entrants can write commentary on the photo and how garden
activities have enriched, enhanced or improved their lives.
All acceptable submissions will be displayed on the LCRC website and the four winners will be announced at the
LCRC annual picnic Aug. 15. (Please note: The London Community Resource Centre reserves the right to use all submitted
images for use in any or all future promotions or publications.)
The contest runs from July 13 to Aug. 7, 2009. Three winners will be selected from each category and will
have a chance to receive their garden plot absolutely free next season (2010), gift certificates from VanHorik’s
Green Houses and Garden Centre, 930 Gainsborough Rd., or from Henry’s Camera Shop, 1070 Wellington Rd., S.,
and 94 Fanshawe Park Rd., E.
