Bringing together individuals, organizations and
resources to foster community action
LCRC launches new Community Garden program
C'mon London -- let's get growing!
Adopt a Plot -- For Goodness Sake

The London Community Resource Centre acknowledges and appreciates the continued support of the City of London in our Community Gardens Program.

Each year the London Community Resource Centre's
Community Gardens program rents out garden plots to a
wide array of individuals in the community. There are,
on occasion, instances where plots in the garden site
across the city are unused or abandoned.
To eliminate the existence of vacant plots throughout
the gardening season, the LCRC is looking to create a
list of community groups, organizations, businesses and corporations who would be interested in
assuming the care of these unused plots in order to grow fresh produce, which in turn cold be donated
to emergency food providers in the City of London or the London Food Bank. We are asking if your
community group, organization, businesses and corporations would be interested.
In addition to aiding the community through this much needed program, your participation would be
promoted in a variety of methods: on a separate, highly visible section on the LCRC website; in the
promotion of and during the LCRC annual picnic; inclusion in annual reports and; in future community
garden communication materials both public and among existing community gardeners.
Along with our flagship Community Gardens Program, the LCRC also works in collaboration on several
other programs, and through our vision there is a strong and undeniable connection with them
all, in relation to issues of food security.
If your community group, organization, business or corporation is interested in more information, or
wants to get on the Adopt a Plot -- For Goodness Sake list, please contact the London Community
Resource Centre at 519-432-1801, or e-mail: lcrc@lcrc.on.ca
