New Canadian finds friends, family and food in community garden

It has been a rewarding experience participating in community gardening.

As a newcomer to Canada I have made friends, which has facilitated my smooth integration and

enhanced my self-esteem as well as my physical and mental health.

The produce has improved my diet and cut down on my food budget on fresh produce, and I’ve

managed to make small savings to assist with other basic needs.

I have shared special moments with my fellow gardeners and my family members and we have gained

invaluable knowledge from the other gardeners.

I would like to thank you all at London Community Resource Centre for such an opportunity.
